MapFan DB Display Map Database

Building height data

This data includes the number of floors and height attributes of buildings corresponding to building footprint polygons, covering 14 major cities in Japan.
In addition to simple 3D representation, it can be used in a variety of fields, including landscape and view evaluation, urban planning, radio wave propagation analysis, and disaster prevention simulation.

Expected usage

  • By using this data to display buildings in 3D, you can gain an overview of urban spaces and utilize it as basic data for various simulations.

  • It is expected to be used in the following areas:

    – Urban planning
Assessment of landscape changes and impacts on the surrounding environment associated with new construction projects.
    – Radio wave propagation analysis
Optimizing wireless communication and base station placement, taking into account radio wave shielding and reflection by buildings.
    – Disaster prevention measures
Predicting the impact on buildings during tsunamis and floods, visualizing the extent of flooding, and simulating evacuation routes, etc.
