"MapFan SDK for Windows" is a map development kit for Windows.
Map systems can be developed using common languages such as VB and C#. We offer a wealth of features, including map display and advanced route planning.
Map functionality can be easily integrated into Windows Forms applications.

01 Offline use is possible
Because it utilizes data stored on the device, all SDK-provided functions for map display, search, and route navigation are available even in environments where an internet connection is unavailable.
02 Supports diverse route search
In addition to standard route searches, you can use a variety of route search functions, including routes that take into account road restrictions for large vehicles* and routes that efficiently visit multiple locations. *Supported areas will be expanded sequentially.
03 Fresh and flexible map provision
We provide monthly map updates 12 times a year, and you can download and update them directly from your device.

Map
Map display and operation
Within the app screen, you can specify and display the map's drawing area and location. You can perform map operations such as moving, zooming, and rotating points using inertial scrolling. These operations can also be disabled.
Map customization
You can switch to pre-configured map patterns. Furthermore, if you are using local map data, you can customize the display by specifying the types of objects to be shown.

Route search
Route search
You can search for routes by specifying the departure point, destination, and multiple intermediate points, as well as the following search criteria:
Search criteria
- Priority designation (distance, straight route, road width priority, etc.)
- Avoidance (avoiding toll roads, avoiding ferries)
- Toll road fees are taken into consideration (ETC, smart interchanges, etc.).
- Consideration of regulations (time/seasonal restrictions, vehicle type, restrictions on general roads/highways, etc.)
- Special designations (areas where passage is prohibited / areas where passage is permitted)
The route search results will provide information such as total distance, estimated time, toll, and directions.
Patrol route search
You can specify your starting point, destination, and multiple intermediate stops to search for the most efficient route.

Address Search
You can search for the latitude and longitude information of a location based on an address string.
Address Hierarchy Search
You can search for addresses by navigating through a list of hierarchical levels: prefecture, city/ward/town/village, town/district, street number, and house number.
Address reverse lookup
You can search for address information using latitude and longitude.
Postal code search
You can search for address strings and latitude/longitude information using postal codes.
Station Search
You can search for information about a station by searching for the station name string.
Station hierarchy search
You can search for station names by navigating through a list of station names, hierarchically organized by line name and station name.
