Could you please explain the system's overview?

This service provides a simple and affordable way for companies without a dedicated operations manager to manage the safe driving practices of their drivers.
Originally, we have a business management system called "G500" for taxi companies, bus companies, and transportation companies. By installing a commercial drive recorder with communication capabilities in the vehicles, it becomes possible to monitor the vehicle's operating status in real time and transmit video footage of accidents to the office, thereby supporting safe driving based on business management needs.
This "G500Lite" is a service that has been restructured for general commercial vehicles (sales and service operations) used by general companies.

What can be done?

Driving conditions such as sudden braking, sudden steering, vehicle sway, and distance to the vehicle in front are automatically collected on a cloud server. From this, individual driving characteristics are analyzed, and driving diagnostic reports and comments on areas for improvement are automatically generated. Based on past driving data, recommended improvement items and target values are automatically set, enabling safe driving planning and education based on the PDCA (Plan → Do → Check → Act) cycle.
In companies with a dedicated operations manager, the manager uses the data collected and analyzed by the system appropriately based on their own judgment. However, this is not the case for general companies, so we have designed the system to enable data utilization that leads to safer driving.

Near-Miss Map
Generates a Near-Miss Map based on the results of automatic image analysis. By displaying factors such as time of day, weather conditions, and pedestrians darting into the road on the map, hazardous locations become immediately apparent.

Could you tell us about the circumstances and deciding factors that led you to adopt our map products?

With our previous product, we had been using a third-party local SDK, but since we decided to offer a cloud service that does not require installing maps, we needed to consider implementing a web API. In addition to our satisfaction with basic features—such as whether the functionality previously implemented with local maps could be replicated and whether performance would be satisfactory—we were impressed by the company’s focus on enhancing features for the transportation industry, as well as the cost benefits offered by its low price point. Therefore, we decided to go with “MapFan API”. This has reduced the effort required for installing and updating maps via disk, and complaints caused by the map software—such as memory exhaustion—have been completely eliminated.

Please tell us about customer reactions and future prospects.

In addition to the green-plated vehicles such as buses and trucks that we previously sold, our products are now also being adopted by many companies that own white-plated vehicles such as commercial and service vehicles. We will continue to provide services that lead to accident reduction and contribute to the realization of a safe and secure society.
