Could you tell us about the overview of the service?

This system enables the economic comparison of recycling costs (disposal costs) for construction waste, which are necessary for calculating the estimated price of construction work. By simply specifying the construction site, type of work, and waste material category on the system, it automatically calculates transportation costs to multiple designated processing facilities and their processing costs in one go, and even generates economic comparison data for disposal costs.

Could you tell me about the distinctive features of the system?

① Calculation of disposal costs

[Setting conditions]
By aligning the guide displayed on the electronic map with the target construction site and referencing the work classification, loading method, and combination of target waste materials from the master data according to the work type in the cost estimation standard, the system will automatically calculate everything from there.

[Bulk processing by facility]
The calculation of disposal costs involves searching for the transportation route to the master-registered processing facility, sequentially calculating the disposal cost based on the transportation and processing costs, and performing this calculation process for all registered processing facilities at once.

[Confirmation of transport route]
The system searches for the optimal route from the site to the processing facility, allowing you to check the transportation distance and route. Furthermore, if the transportation route passes through a densely populated area (DID), the system recognizes the DID and automatically reflects this in the transportation cost calculation.

 

② Preparation of economic comparison data on disposal costs

[Output in Excel format]
To ensure that proper economic comparisons are made during the disposal cost calculation process, a disposal cost economic comparison document can be created and output in Excel format.

Could you tell me why you chose MapDK5?

In developing this system, the organizational objective was to improve work efficiency while maintaining high quality in the estimation results, as an in-house system.
Originally, our center had already implemented IPC's MapFan, so the deciding factors for developing a system using MapDK5 were that it would be easily accepted by the staff who use it, and that it was a development kit that could satisfy the development requirements within a tight development budget.

Effects and usage methods after implementation

By automating the calculations by setting the program to perform route searches to dozens of recycling facilities, combine work types and waste material classifications for each processing facility, and define DID (Densely Inhabited Areas), it has become possible to simultaneously perform economic comparisons of recycling facilities and create supporting documents, thereby improving the efficiency and standardization of operations.
