Could you please explain the service?

The next-generation digital tachograph "LOGICOMPASS" is a service for operational and labor management aimed at corporations (primarily transportation companies) that operate businesses using trucks and buses.
The vehicle's in-vehicle devices and the administrator's PC are linked via the cloud to exchange various types of information.

 

The main features are as follows:

■ Labor Management
By simply touching a button on the in-vehicle device, the driver can send information to the management PC, allowing various vehicle data to be retrieved.

■Automatic output of driver's log
Various pieces of information are quantified and reflected in the driver's log, allowing for accurate operational management based on precise operational data. This significantly reduces costs compared to manually creating daily logs.

■ Vehicle dynamics management
The in-vehicle GPS allows for real-time tracking of the vehicle's location, preventing situations where "we don't know where the vehicle is right now." It also enables a quick response to customer inquiries regarding the vehicle's status.

■ Integration with various external devices and services
The in-vehicle unit can be linked with various devices such as temperature sensors, alcohol testers, and dashcams. Furthermore, the management software can integrate with various external services, including core systems and business management services, and customization options are also available, which is a key strength.

We are particularly focusing on labor management functions, and we can output information such as continuous driving time, working hours, and rest periods, which are necessary to comply with the improvement standards notification, all at once based on information acquired from the in-vehicle device.

As management software, we primarily utilize the functions of the "MapFan API" in the following areas:

① Vehicle location information display
The vehicle's location is displayed on a map in real time based on GPS information from the in-vehicle unit.

② VICS information display (construction/road closure/traffic congestion information)
Along with the vehicle's location, the system displays real-time information on road closures and restrictions due to construction, as well as traffic congestion.

③ Display of the driving route on a map
The vehicle's route can be displayed on a map as a record of its travel path.
Because we can check the vehicle's location and surrounding traffic conditions in real time, we can immediately respond to customer inquiries about the situation, such as estimating the reason for delivery delays.
Furthermore, in the event of an accident or a customer complaint, the vehicle's trajectory can be reviewed, providing valuable reference information for verifying the facts.

Could you tell us about the circumstances that led you to choose our service, and what were the deciding factors?

Before adopting the MapFan API we were using another company's service, but we decided to adopt the MapFan API because it supported the display of VICS information, which was not available from other companies at the time, and because they proposed a pricing plan that was well-suited to LOGICOMPASS 's business model.

Could you tell us about your future plans?

Currently, we are particularly focusing on selling "LOGISOLAR" as a new solution. This involves attaching solar panels to the top of a vehicle, which then generate electricity to charge the vehicle's battery, reducing fuel consumption and contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions.

In this way, we will continue to expand our service lineup and provide multiple services to our target markets, with the aim of helping more customers solve their problems.
